The philosophy of the Scots Hockey Association is to accelerate and maximize the development of the ice hockey skills of boys and girls from Mite through Midget in order that each player achieves his/her maximum potential as an ice hockey player. Our professional coaching staff works to build character and life skills to benefit players both on and off the ice and build a passion for the game.
The foundation of the Scots Hockey Association is based on three principles each of equal priority – Individual Skill Development, Teamwork, and Sportsmanship. Ice hockey is a team sport. Individual skill development will be fostered and enhanced, but in order to obtain the highest standards in competition and athletic excellence, teamwork with an advanced understanding of the game and strategies will be of equal priority. Finally, all is for naught if the sportsmanship of the players is not only self-evident, but a shining tribute to the hockey community.
